Embrace the spirit of India at our Indian Folk Music Party, with our performers from Varanasi. Varanasi is a famous center for folk music. Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of ancient traditional songs, infused with spiritual meanings, rooted in centuries-old traditions. Anand and Annu will lead us through a mesmerizing journey, inviting participation and offering insights into a diverse range of genres, including Ghazal, Thumri, Bhajan, and Dadra.

Varanasi’s music, resonating from the banks of the holy river Ganges, reflects the city’s profound cultural heritage, encompassing devotional songs sung during religious ceremonies and festivals. Explore this unique instrumental music tradition of the Benares Gharana, characterized by profound spirituality, emotional depth, and artistic refinement.

Anand will invite us to join in with the rhythms and to participate. Our musicians will guide us through this experience, and can also  provide explanations about the types of music they will share.

Join us for an evening of joy, music, and culinary delights!

We are looking forward,
Anand, Annu, Jonathan & Wanda
