Anand Ji is a very renowned Sitar player in India and travels throughout India and the world giving Sitar recitals. His father was one of the most famous tabla players of his era. Their family is the centre of Varanasi music culture, the Benares Gharana. (A school of music that came out of the courts of the Maharaja’s, the kings of old pre colonized India. Both Annu and Anand have fascinating histories to explain.

Discover the musical odyssey of Annu Priya (1997), a unique voice in the world of Indian classical vocal music. Breaking away from the conventional norms, Annu holds a master’s degree from the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in classical vocal music. This is a remarkable feat given her family has no professional musical heritage. In a cultural landscape where musical traditions typically course through familial veins, Annu’s path stands as an inspiring departure from the norm.
