This workshop introduces participants to games that inspire reflection and action in the classroom. It draws on Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed, a powerful method that uses theatre as a tool for social change. It is particularly suited for participants interested in alternative, holistic pedagogy, using play, and active learning.

During the session, participants will engage in improvisation exercises that embody the experience of democracy. These activities challenge hierarchies and reveal both conscious and unconscious patterns of thought and behavior. They foster deep, immediate connections among participants and encourage the emergence of new and unexpected ideas. By the end of the workshop, participants will have experienced firsthand how play and improvisation can stimulate creativity, collaboration.
