Nog nooit gedraaid en gewoon eens proeven wat DJ’en is? Dan zit je hier goed. Heb je al ervaring en wil je nieuwe technieken of invalshoeken ontdekken? Ook dan ga je hier dingen uithalen.\nJe hebt alleen een laptop en een koptelefoon nodig. Dat is alles. Een controller mag, maar is niet nodig. Na je aanmelding ontvang je een mail met duidelijke instructies over welke software je kunt installeren, zodat je goed voorbereid komt.\nNa een succesvolle editie in Portugal breng ik dit laptop-only concept naar Nederland. Doordat iedereen direct kan meekijken terwijl ik dingen voordoe op een scherm, merk je hoe snel je het oppakt. Je ziet het letterlijk gebeuren: een overgang die in eerste instantie onmogelijk lijkt, doe je even later gewoon zelf. We werken ook met effecten om je mixen meteen meer kleur en dynamiek te geven.\nDit is een van de snelste manieren om DJ’en echt te ervaren. Je kijkt mee, doet het na, en ineens klopt het. Aan het eind van de sessie heb je zelf tracks in elkaar gemixt en snap je hoe een DJ-set echt werkt.\nWe werken aan de basis van DJ’en, maar ook aan flow, trackselectie en het opbouwen van een set. Binnen de conscious scene, maar zonder vast te zitten aan vaste formats. Ik stem af op de groep, maar zorg dat iedereen stappen maakt en uitgedaagd wordt op zijn of haar niveau.\nDe workshop wordt gegeven door Navid Divana. Met 20 jaar DJ-ervaring en 10 jaar binnen de ecstatic dance scene heeft hij een uitgesproken, eigenzinnige stijl ontwikkeld. Never touched DJing before and just want to try it out? You’re welcome. Already have some experience and looking for new techniques or perspectives? You’ll find that here too.\nAll you need is a laptop and headphones. That’s it. A controller is welcome but not required. After signing up, you’ll receive an email with clear instructions on which software to install so you can come prepared.\nAfter a successful edition in Portugal, I’m bringing this laptop-only concept to the Netherlands. Because everyone can directly follow along while I demonstrate on a screen, you’ll notice how quickly things click. By the end of the session, you’ll have mixed tracks yourself and understand how a DJ set really works.\nWe’ll cover the fundamentals of DJing, as well as flow, track selection, and building a set. Rooted in the conscious scene, but not limited by it. I adapt to the group while making sure everyone progresses and is challenged at their own level.\nThe workshop is led by Navid Divana.
